Our approach

Centre! Works on the concept of being ‘centred’. When we are centred we can be amazing, at home and at work, in relationships and how we feel about ourselves.

How do you know you are centred?

  1. You feel calm and in control

  2. You have amazing, consistent focus

  3. You know you are performing well and you can make changes when you need to

  4. As life brings challenges you deal with them using your inner resources - your own skills, abilities and experience

  5. You spontaneously think ‘I can’ ‘I am happy’, I am proud of myself’ and you appreciate life

  6. You are the person/professional you want to be/dreamed of being

Living centred is a skill we can learn at any time, at any age and starting from any situation.

Whether it’s transforming your professional life, team or workplace or addressing a personal issue like confidence, anxiety or weight and shape, you can leave behind that sense of living out of balance and ‘off centre’ and achieve the mindset you need to succeed in life.

And what does being ‘off-centre’ actually mean?

●      We often feel overwhelmed; have too many tasks

●      We’re reactive or distracted-always checking our phones

●      We engage in addictive behaviours

●      We don’t trust ourselves

●      We muddle what is urgent with what is important

●      We endlessly put things off instead of tackling them

●      We don’t trust ourselves

●      We can feel fatigued early in the day

●      We engage in ‘negative self-talk’, always self-critical

●      We worry about things we’ve already done (ruminate) or feel fear about the future

●      We feel stuck in a highly-strung state; we know we should change but think we can’t

●      We lose touch with our own instincts and lose confidence

If you are feeling ‘off centre’ right now, you are very welcome to get in touch

‘I am passionate about helping people get the best out of life and work - to be their ‘best self’ and make the impact they want to as they navigate their personal and professional pathway through life.’

By using the most appropriate techniques for you, we can work together to overcome the personal and professional challenges that hold you back.  We can set new, exciting ambitions and work creatively to achieve them - I am constantly amazed at what is possible when we centre on what matters to you and make the decision to bring about change.

Real transformation IS possible.

What I offer

Before I created my own wellbeing and mentoring business in the UK 10 years ago, I had had my own share of personal and professional challenges, and I offer both the learnings from these life experiences and my accredited training as a Solution Focused Therapist, and teacher of science-based mindfulness/meditation, to support you.

Solution Focused therapy is exactly that; solutions are what we need, and we can tailor make the solution according to who you are as an individual.

We can ‘blend’ techniques

That might mean blending approaches such as CBT, hypnotherapy, talk therapy, coaching, mentoring, mindfulness/meditation to get where we want to as rapidly as we can.

I have been there myself!

I began my career as a  newspaper journalist and communications specialist, working in high pressure environments (and with some pretty demanding bosses!).

I then spent 30 years both as a parent of young children and as a Director/ CEO in national and international non-profit organisations, which variously focused on young people, disability and sport both in the UK and Europe

As you might imagine this work, and my personal life, had it’s highs and lows - the role of leader and parent is both a privilege and a very lonely place at times. And I DID suffer from stress!

Leaders need support!

This is one of the reasons why I feel very strongly that leaders should be supported, and I greatly enjoy this part of my work.

I have supported leaders and managers, both in small companies as they progress and build, through to CEOs of high performing national and regional organisations who have huge expectations put upon them, and sometimes need that outside person who can support them both professionally and personally.

Becoming a therapist

When I stepped away from my CEO roles it seemed a very natural move to become a therapist and mentor.

In addition to qualifying as a Solution Focused Therapist, I also trained with the British School of Meditation so that I could teach mindfulness and meditative approaches in their many forms - practices which have helped me for over 30 years now.

As a mother of four, and a grandmother, I also pursued an interest in supporting women to reduce the fear, and find the joy, in pregnancy and childbirth and trained as a Hypnobirthing practitioner, which I still do occasionally, on request.

Working with you as a person

My work with individuals has covered just about every issue you can think of, from weight loss/  body image and general confidence to helping sports players compete at their best - even boxers!

If there is a solution I am determined to help you find it.

I’ve worked with people to create new lives after relationship breakdown and worked with disabled young people to discover their own power to change. I’ve helped people overcome profound anxiety, lift out of low mood and leave phobias and OCD behind.

Food, mood, and movement

As I grew my practice, working with a huge variety of people, I developed a much greater awareness of what makes for true wellbeing, and developed a simple ‘Food/Mood/Move model which I expanded on through community and workplace groups which were fun, informative and practically beneficial to those who joined.

I love helping people to see that we don’t have a mind and a body but rather a single ‘bodymind’ that must be holistically maintained.

Helping businesses grow

As well as individual support for professionals I have provided consultancy to businesses wishing to bring about change and growth, and to charities, which I have also chaired on a voluntary basis.

Living with cancer

More recently I have been working with people who have cancer to develop lifestyle strategies to support and maintain recovery, or to live well with cancer when full recovery is not possible. In 2023 my work won a local cancer charity the NHS £20,000 health inequalities prize challenge.

Self-therapy!

Over the past few years I have been doing some therapy on myself (it’s an occupational benefit!) digging deep to discover what I really want for the remaining years of my life.

My ‘self-therapy’ brought me away from the UK to Ireland and a cottage in the Wexford countryside, not too far from my eldest son and grandchildren.

Being close to nature, close to the sea, amongst  friendly people, and a smaller country is what I really want for the precious minutes, hours and days of my life.

I have a dedicated office and therapy room here in the cottage for my work, both in person and on-line. I can also do occasional home visits.

You and YOUR precious life

Your hopes and dreams may be different from mine, but we find who we truly are and what we want through the same techniques and methods.

I am deeply grateful for all that life has brought to me, both personally and professionally, and I have learned along the way to always retain an awareness that we only have once chance at all this.

As we think and breathe and engage ourselves in whatever we are doing, the moments of that life are always ticking away and cannot be replaced.

It’s so important, therefore, to make the best of that life, and ourselves, in whatever way we can, whatever our starting point.

We deserve to be the best self we can be, living the best life that’s possible for us.

My mission is to help you do that.

Currently I work both in the UK and in the Wexford area of Ireland and I am available in person and on-line.I also make home visits where appropriate and by arrangement.

All enquiries are very welcome.
